Ein interessantes Mental-Kunststück

Das von Reese Goodley angewandte Verfahren lässt sich grundsätzlich auf das scheinbare Gedankenlesen verschiedener Objekte anwenden. Die zugrunde liegende Idee ist ohne Zweifel gut. Es wird in der Werbung darauf hingewiesen, dass nichts aufgeschrieben wird. Das stimmt. Verschwiegen wird freilich, dass der Zuschauer in seinem Smartphone nachschauen soll, wenn er die Flagge und die Sprache seines gedachten Landes nicht kennt. Das ist im Prinzip genauso, als läge man ihm ein Blatt mit nationalen Flaggen vor – oder einen Packen Karten mit entsprechenden Bildern. Es stimmt also nicht, dass ohne Requisiten gearbeitet wird. Das kommt nur vor, wenn der Mitwirkende tatsächlich Flagge und Sprache seines gedachten Landes kennt.
Ich will aber nicht verkennen, dass das Publikum ein erstaunliches Mentalwunder erleben darf, wenn alles gut gelaufen ist.
